Atlanta to Ghana 2027

Apr 5 – Apr 13, 2027 9 days KT-GH27-ATL-C1

An unforgettable nine-day journey from Atlanta to Ghana, filled with history, culture, connection, and authentic experiences from Accra to Cape Coast.

Do you live in Atlanta or elsewhere in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, or the surrounding region? Ghana is calling. Join Kingdom Africa Tours for an unforgettable nine day journey centered on travelers from Atlanta and the Southeast.

Whether this is your first visit to the African continent or a meaningful return, we invite you to experience Ghana through its people, history, culture, and heritage. You will be welcomed as our guest.

Together, we will experience the energy of Accra, stand at Independence Square, discover the legacy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, explore local markets, and enjoy Ghanaian cuisine. We will also travel to Cape Coast, where a visit to Cape Coast Castle will bring us face to face with a profound chapter of our shared history. Along the way, there will be time to relax, shop, connect with local communities, and enjoy Ghana’s hospitality.

You do not have to navigate Ghana alone. From the moment you arrive in Accra, our Ghana based Kingdom Africa Tours team will welcome you, guide you, and journey with you throughout the experience.

Come with friends. Come with family. Come on your own and become part of the family you meet along the way.

This Atlanta focused trip is limited to 40 travelers, allowing us to keep the experience personal, comfortable, and connected. Travelers will arrange their own flights to Ghana, and our team can assist with flight booking for an additional administrative fee.

Ghana is waiting. Come experience it with Kingdom Africa Tours.

Getting there

Flights that work with the group’s arrival and departure, from the cities travelers usually leave from. You book your own ticket — these are our suggestions, not part of the land tour price.

From Atlanta (ATL)

Delta Air Lines Our pick
Out
ATL → ACC · nonstop if offered, otherwise ONE connection (often JFK)
Back
ACC → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Start here. If Delta flies ATL to ACC nonstop on your dates, that removes the international connection altogether and deserves serious thought. If it connects — usually ATL → JFK → ACC — make sure the whole journey is on one reservation, never ATL–JFK bought separately from JFK–ACC.

Book on delta.com
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
Out
ATL → Amsterdam (AMS) → ACC · ONE connection
Back
ACC → Amsterdam (AMS) → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Highly recommended connecting option. One international connection, in Amsterdam. Aim for a 2½ to 5 hour layover where the schedule allows: much shorter is tight if Atlanta runs late, much longer makes a cheap fare less of a bargain. Both flights on one reservation, bags checked through to Accra wherever the ticket permits.

Book on klm.com
Air France
Out
ATL → Paris (CDG) → ACC · ONE connection
Back
ACC → Paris (CDG) → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Highly recommended connecting option. Charles de Gaulle is a large airport, so do not choose a deliberately tight connection simply because it shortens the total. Look for 2½ to 5 hours where available, no airport change in Paris, and both flights on one reservation.

Book on airfrance.com
British Airways
Out
ATL → London (LHR) → ACC · ONE connection
Back
ACC → London (LHR) → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Good alternative. Judge it on the Heathrow layover and the total travel time, not on the fare alone. If it saves a substantial amount and the connection is sensible, it is a sound choice.

Book on britishairways.com
Ethiopian Airlines
Out
ATL → Addis Ababa (ADD) → ACC · ONE connection
Back
ACC → Addis Ababa (ADD) → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Worth a look when the price and the schedule suit. Service depends on what is offered for your dates, and it can be a considerably longer journey than the European connections. Compare the total travel time, not the price on its own.

Book on ethiopianairlines.com
Turkish Airlines
Out
ATL → Istanbul (IST) → ACC · ONE connection
Back
ACC → Istanbul (IST) → ATL · departing Accra Tue Mar 23

Alternative when the fare justifies the extra hours. Istanbul is not the direct line between Atlanta and Ghana, so the whole journey can run significantly longer. Compare it against Delta, KLM, Air France and British Airways before you book.

Book on turkishairlines.com

Airlines change their schedules and their fares without notice, so check both on the airline’s own page before you book. Once you have registered, your participant portal carries the full booking instructions for this trip — how to book, what the baggage allowance is, and where the group meets.
